Here at the Goldstein Library we are firm believers in our right and freedom to read. We hope that you will stop in to celebrate this freedom with us throughout the week. Hundreds of books, from classics to mainstream titles such as The Hunger Games and Harry Potter, are banned from bookshelves and libraries in counties in America, the land of the free. Join us for our movies, read-out, librarian quiz, as well as our trivia night to celebrate the titles which have shaped our world and have been banned from shelves. |

Gather in teams and band together to test your knowledge of banned books. We will have plenty of questions coming your way with a chance to win your team some prizes. We will also be featuring a few “mocktail” recipes featured in banned and challenged books.
*Each afternoon and evening in the CAVE (deconflicting with previous appointments) we will play a movie based on a banned or challenged book. We welcome and encourage all who join us to discuss the reasons these books were challenged or banned. We would also like to discuss the efforts of restricting the freedom to read. We also welcome any suggestions to your favorite movies based on banned or challenged books. Feel free to contact any member of our staff before Sunday, September 22, 2013.
